Yes, sad but true folks - I'm not going anywhere and nothing is wrong - I've just decided to take a little break. This is due in part the the birth of my offspring that is coming in a few short weeks and in part because I'm just a little burnt out. Sure, there is lots off stuff to do around the house - painting, crib assembly, buying supplies - and summers are a busy time as it is. Just as importantly, I think I became a little disillusioned when my site did so well out of the blocks. Within a year it was getting 1,000+ hits a day with an Alexa ranking near 40,000. It was all so, well - unsustainable. I don't think it will be a long break - I just need a little time to focus and get things done. I feel good - life is great, I just need to step away from the computer. Please feel free to go through the archives or even the other portions of my site - LOOK has always been a hit. Anyway, here is a quick glimpse at Canucklehead.ca as of today, June 20th, 2008.

Of course, I've recently dropped Entrecard - so there goes 5% right off the top. Anyway, the StumbleUpon people looking at the LOOK section has always been what kept me from gEtting too lonely - so I'll likely keep adding over there.

1) canucklehead: makes sense I suppose - but really, you can almost dump this is with direct traffic. I have a lot of friends and well-wishers who don't have the technical ability to bookmark.
2) pacman graph: I certainly didn't make this but I sure wish I did. To see what these people are looking for go HERE. If you're wondering why it looks so different it's because I thought I took it off the site some time ago, however - the program I uses does not erase things - it just stops .. well, it's there for good anyway. Wow - it's been around a while but I guess it has staying power. This could be also be said of my now defunct LISTEN section ... which amazingly also continues to live. I could actually write a whole post on sections of my site that I thought had disappeared for good ....
3) Canadian porn: While this particular term normally evokes images of a couple of eskimos double-teaming a mountie. I'm afraid that visitors here were rightfully disappointed to find I had used the term to describe the NHL playoffs. Even non-hockey fans owe this annual event for the invention of the 'doggie-style' position which allowed both people to enjoy the games.
4) top 10 movie quotes: ah yes, the drunkest post I ever wrote. You can find it HERE. It was written Oct 27th of last year and shows as the earliest post on my blog - meaning the first 6 months of blog is gone. Well, clearly it's somewhere - I just don't know where anymore - it's on the web somewhere - I'm sure of that ... see pacman graph above as an example.
5) free rice: yes, it' s because of THIS GAME. Which I love, but forget about until I look at these. A whopping 15 people came here in the last month looking for free rice. Poor hungry orientals.
6) pro choice: wow! I never expected to rate this high. The amazing thing is that these people stay to look at another whopping 6.86 pages on average. That being said, they are being sent HERE - a post that has been my second most popular and gotten the most comments.
7) company picnic: I LOVE StumbleUpon. This really likely is what put this site on the map - I remember twice getting 100,000 visits/day for THIS PICTURE alone. It was big time.
8) pro choice arguments: see above. 2 out of 10?! * Shakes head *
9) canucklehead.ca: C'mon grandma - I showed you how to bookmark sites.
10) hot milf: And I thought the 'Canadian porn' people would be disappointed. Can you imagine the horny dudes looking for hot MILFs that end up HERE?
