Checking In

I hope and trust that my absence as of late has not caused anyone alarm. As it turns out, things could not be better. I'm off work for a couple of weeks and have spent time bonding with my new son, and hanging out with the old one. Today was spent at the beach and a good time was had by all in attendance. Of course, having two children has in fact turned out to be exactly as hectic as previously anticipated but we've managed to settle into a bit of a routine for now - at least until I have to go back to work. That being said, I have managed to spend a LOT of time playing with my children which has left precious little time on the old blog here. I'm afraid you'll just have to bear with me during this awesome time.

Yes, we do have beaches in Canada. I was at Port Stanley today and I have to tell you, there are actually quite a few beaches within driving distance from here. While they are not going to win any international awards, I can tell you that they are much better than what foreigners would suspect. I feel comfortable saying that I've seen quite a few beaches and the ones around Southern Ontario are quite sufficient. Anyway, there is both sand and water.

While a little off topic, tomorrow I will be spending part of my day at a tattoo parlour. You see, I always said I would never get a tattoo and then, when my son was born I had one of my infamous changes of heart and got his name and birth date put on my arm. It only seems fair that I now do the same for my second one. Since I don't plan on having any more children I absolutely expect this will be my last.

Another busy weekend coming up, among the highlights will be my son's final soccer game of the season. Since we is only three his team does not keep score and I can tell you that it is a blessing. We have been outscored over the season about 100-3 and I for one blame the coaching. Of course, I feel okay saying that as I am one of the coaches. It's all good. Anyway, I'm off again - I've also been catching up with a LOT of personal reading - something I've been sorely missing out on lately. All the best and hope things are well -- CHEERS!
